Nezu museum is one of the famous museums in Tokyo located in Minami-Aoyama. Minami-Aoyama is famous for its fashionable shops and boutiques and attract people young to old. Among those shops, Nezu museum offers peaceful time to appreciate Japanese culture not only inside the museum but outside at the beautiful Japanese garden.

As you walk into Nezu museum, you already feel separated from the outside world. Feel the breeze that flows between the bamboo leaves and you will soon forget that you are in the middle of Tokyo.

Nezu museum opened in 1941 and one of the few museums in Japan that has such a long history. It was made to present the collections of Kiichiro Nezu, the CEO of Tobu Railway.
There are approximately 7,400 art work displayed here at Nezu museum.

After spending some time inside the museum, please step outside and take your time walking around the garden as it is designed so elegantly.

Because Kiichi Nezu was also a tea master, there are several tea rooms located within the garden. You can appreciate the architecture of the old Japanese buildings.

Surrounded by trees, you can experience such a peaceful time. Take a deep breath, enjoy the light falling through the leaves and birds singing to the sound of the water trickling. It is definitely an oasis in the middle of Tokyo.
